Daniel Yang Resident on Drake Dr. Cupertino From:Anne Ezzat To:City Council; Public Comments; City Clerk Subject:Item #3 on this evening"s Agenda Date:Tuesday, July 21, 2026 12:15:56 PM CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organization. Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. Dear Mayor Moore, Vice Mayor Chao, Council Members Mohan, Council Member Fruen, and Council Member Wang, I am writing to request that Item # 3 be pulled from the agenda until such time as there is an iron clad agreement to preserve the soundwall between Vallco and the nearby neighborhood intact, without any breeches, as well as the preservation of mature trees abutt the soundwall be preserved.. The city made a commitment in writing to buffer this neighborhood when the original mall was built, and should continue to honor that commitment. The wall construction helped the city avoid a lawsuit. While kumbaya drivel will come out of third rate marketing departments about how the future residents will feel cut off from the rest of the community and emergency vehicles will need cutouts in the walls to service the new community, the long and short of it is greed. The number of parking spaces is not adequate for the new community and current residents should not bear the burden. It is not the responsibility of residents or the city to help a special interest achieve its profit margins at the expense of residents' quality of life. The city's responsibility is to its residents, not to providing a business with a risk free environment. Thank you for your time and consideration. Best regards, Brooke Ezzat.
