City Manager’s Report Updated 7/20/2026 Monday, July 20, 2026 A Message from the City Manager Dear Neighbors, I hope you had a wonderful Fourth of July and were able to enjoy time with family, friends, and neighbors. A heartfelt thank you to the residents, volunteers, City staff, and public safety personnel who helped make this year’s Cupertino celebration such a success. I also want to thank our Councilmembers for joining in the festivities, connecting with families, and helping bring such a warm community spirit to the day. The City continues to make progress on important priorities, including the adoption of Cupertino’s first biannual Strategic Plan and the acquisition of the Finch Property for future parkland and open space. Council is also considering a local revenue measure for the November ballot to help address long-term infrastructure and service needs. In this edition, you’ll find updates on new accessibility features for City Council meetings, including closed captioning and live translation in Standard Chinese, as well as regional wildfire preparedness resources to help households stay ready. As August approaches, the City Council and this newsletter will take a short summer break, but there will be tons of recreation activities here: cupertino.gov/recreation. We will also celebrate the India Independence Day Flag Raising on August 17. I hope you have a restful and enjoyable remainder of the summer, and I look forward to reconnecting with you in September. Thank you, as always, for staying engaged and connected as we continue working together for Cupertino.
