PUBLIC HEARINGS:
1. CITY OF CUPERTINO: Public Hearing to consider 1973 Comprehensive General
Plan. First Hearing continued.
NOTE: The above public hearing regarding the General Plan will be discontinued
at 1000 p.m.
2. Application 9-U-73 of INTERSIL, INC. - Union Carbide Corporation for
Use. Permit to allow the construction and operation of a nitrogen gas
generating plant on a planned manufacturing plant site. Said property
is in a P (Planned Development with light industrial intent) zone and
is located at 10900 Tantau Avenue. First Hearing.
3. Application 10-Z-73 of GEORGE G. DEASON for Prezoning .43 acres from
Santa Clara County Rl-10 (Residential, single-family, 10,000 sq. ft. per
dwelling unit) zone to City of Cupertino R1-7.5 (Residential, single-family,
7,500 sq. ft. per dwelling unit) zone or whatever zone may be deemed
appropriate by the Planning Commission. Said property is located on the
westerly side of Santa Paula Avenue at the intersection of San Leandro
Avenue. First Hearing.
4. Application 13-U-73 of JAMES FROST for Use Permit to construct a single -
story professional office building within a P (Planned Development) zone.
Said property is located westerly of Torre Avenue approximately 100 feet
northerly of the intersection of Pacifica Avenue and Torre Avenue. First
Hearing.
5. Application 8-V-73 of JOSEPH P. FRANCO, ET AL for Variance to reduce the
required number of off-street parking stalls for a proposed 9,930 square
foot commercial building from forty-six (46) to zero (0) spaces. Said
property is located at the southwest corner of Homestead Road and Saratoga -
Sunnyvale Road (Homestead Square Shopping Center) in a CG (General Commercial)
zone. First Hearing.

6. Application 9-V-73 of JAMES HERBERT for Variance to reduce the
setback requirement for a single-family lot from twenty (20) feet
to five (5) feet. Said property is in a R1-7.5 (Residential, single-
family, 7,500 sq. ft. per dwelling unit) zone and is located 170 feet
northerly of the intersection of Crescent Road and Hillcrest Road.
