RE: Ground Squirrel Control at Mary’s Bridge
Scope of Work
Initial Clean Out
• Walk areas of concern twice weekly for four weeks.
• All active ground squirrel burrows will be smoked out using our CO machine.
• Each active burrow needs a 30-minuet CO treatment.
• Set six ground squirrel stations in areas of high activity.
• The areas may be used as normal between visits.
• Please note that there was significant gopher activity as well as ground squirrel
activity. Our proposal is only to control the ground squirrel activity. If a proposal
is needed for gopher control, please let us know.
Cost: $1,250.00, this includes all materials, labor, and work for the first four weeks.
Monthly Maintenance (To begin after the Clean Out)
• Walk the areas of concern twice per month and set an appropriate number of
bait stations based on ground squirrel activity.
• All active ground squirrel burrows will be smoked with CO.
• Bait stations will be checked and refilled twice per month.
• Areas may be used as normal between visits.
• New critters will come from adjacent areas and will slowly re-inhabit the treated
area over time. We recommend a year-round maintenance program.
• You are always more than welcome to call us in between our visits, if there is
new and concerning activity and someone will be out within 48 hours.
Cost: Monthly maintenance is $225.00 for two visits per month.
Bait Information:
• The bait used is a multi-feed (Typically cholecalciferol-Vitamin D).
• Multi-feed baits are low in secondary toxicity by design, so they are safe to use
around pets and wildlife.
• There will come a time where activity may look like it is increasing, but that means
the ground squirrels are coming in from the surrounding areas to eat the bait and a
decrease will be seen within 2-3 months.
• The bait stations are tamper-resistant boxes that are staked into the ground. The bait
inside is not easily accessible to pets, wildlife, or children.
• Ground squirrels most often die within their burrow; so dead carcasses are not often
seen above ground.
• Got Gopher’s is licensed by the state of CA to apply this bait in accordance with the
label.
• All bait used must be reported to the county agricultural department, so they can
monitor usage.
Got Gophers is fully licensed and insured. All supporting documentation has been
