RESOLUTION NO. 1964
OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO
RECOMMENDING THAT THE PROPOSED ORDINANCE 812
REGULATING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY ON WEEKENDS,
HOLIDAYS, AND DURING CERTAIN HOURS ON WEEKDAYS
NOT BE ENACTED.

FINDINGS:
The Planning Commission determined that the purpose of Ordinance 812 is to
reduce construction related noise affecting residents. The Planning Commission
finds that the construction related noise is only one of several noise
sources that affect residential areas within the community. Therefore, it
is premature to adopt a limited purpose ordinance that regulates construction
noise. The Planning Commission recommends that construction related noise
impacts be addressed in conjunction with the preparation of a comprehensive
Noise Ordinance.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of July, 1979, at a regular meeting of the
Planning Commission of the City of Cupertino, State of California, by the
following roll call vote:
AYES: Commissioners Blaine, Koenitzer,,Chairman Gatto

ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: Commissioners Adams, Claudy
