Teen Commission Meeting June 10, 2026 Presentations Item #4 Recreation Event Volunteers June 10, 2026 Teen Commission Parks and Recreation Department Recreation Event Volunteers (REV) Agenda •Overview of Teen Program, Recreation Event Volunteers (REV) Recreation Event Volunteers (REV) •What is REV? •The name Recreation Event Volunteers work year-round in city events. How does it fit with our existing Teen Programs? •Teen Commission advises City Council and Staff on issues/projects important to youth. •Youth Activity Board (YAB) plans and implements teen events throughout the year. •Leaders in Training (LITs)volunteer in our summer camps program. •Techie Teens is a niche volunteer position working with seniors. How is REV different? •REV provides volunteers to work in city-run events throughout the year. •REV formalizes the process to recruit volunteers for events. •REV provides additional leadership opportunities for teens. •REV provides additional volunteer opportunities for teens which are documented and recognized.
