•4-19-23 BPC Meeting:
•Motion for staff to return to BPC with details regarding cost
estimates and exact locations for the prioritized bike rack
sites, with options for bike rack types including Inverted U,
Post and Ring, and the Stanford option.

•Motion to form subcommittee with Commissioners Wolf and Marcy,
for the purpose of bringing back recommendations to BPC
•2-20-25 BPC Meeting:
•Update on Rotary effort to install bike racks in front of private
businesses and on City property
•Rotary and subcommittee identified 6 locations and designs for
City property
•No action taken
•5-21-25 BPC Meeting:
•Update on Rotary effort

•City expenditures $8,000. $42,000 remaining for project.

•Determine locations for use of remaining funding.

4) Crossroads shopping plaza (south side of SCB at De Anza)
5) SW. corner of De Anza Blvd and Rodrigues Ave. at Trinetha market
6) SE. corner of Blaney/Homestead, in Oakmont Plaza
7) Pacific Rim Plaza next to Joy Dumpling/QQ Noodle and next to TP
Tea
8) Aqui Restaurant on De Anza
9) Silverado Avenue businesses (off De Anza)

Property Owners and Businesses have not vetted about the Bike Racks.
Bicycle Facilities – Next Steps
Bicycle Pedestrian Commission:
•Reaffirm prioritized locations and bike rack styles for
staff to further investigate
•Support staff’s efforts to work with schools
Transportation Division Staff:
•Perform site visits, and proceed with installations
•Develop City standard and typical details
•Proceed with Step 2 of Workplan item, reviewing
building codes and planning requirements
