Notice of Hearing on Report and Assessment for Weed Abatement
Kirsten Squarcia, Deputy City Clerk, declares as follows:
• That she is a citizen of the United States, over the age of 18 years, that at all times
herein mentioned was an employee / agent of the City of Cupertino.
• That on June 19, 2018 she caused to be deposited in the United States Post Office,
California, a Notice of Hearing, a copy of which is attached hereto.
• That said mailing list has been provided by the Agricultural Commissioner and
lists the owners of property who are entitled to Notice of Hearing on Report and
Assessment for Weed Abatement.
• That on said day, there was a regular communication by Unites States mail
between Cupertino, California and the addresses shown on the attached mailing
list.

Subject: Special Assessment for Abatement of Hazardous Vegetation and/or Debris
Dear Property Owner,
Your property has been placed on the Special Assessment Tax Roll for hazardous
vegetation/debris abatement services pursuant to Section 9.08 of the Cupertino Municipal
Code. An assessment list is enclosed. If you have questions, please call the Santa Clara
County Department of Agriculture and Resource Management Weed Abatement
Program Coordinator at (408) 282-3145. You may be directed to leave voicemail however
your call will be returned within three business days.

AND ASSESSMENT FOR WEED ABATEMENT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that that on July 18, 2018 the County Agricultural
Commissioner filed with the City Clerk a report and assessment of abatement of weeds,
brush and/or combustible debris withal the City, copies of which are posted near the
main door of the city council chambers and located in the City Clerk's office of City Hall,
10300 Torre Avenue, Cupertino.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that on July 31, 2018 at the hour of 6:45 p.m., or as soon as
the item can be heard, in the Community Hall Council Chamber located at 10350 Torre
Avenue, Cupertino, said report and assessment list will be presented for consideration
and confirmation, and that any and all persons interested having any objections to said
report and assessment list, or to any matter or thing contained therein, may appear at
said time and place and be heard.
