Kirsten Squarcia, Deputy City Clerk, declares as follows:
• That she is a citizen of the United States, over the age of 18 years, and that at all
times herein mentioned was an employee / agent of the City of Cupertino.
• That on May 1, 2018, she deposited in the United States Post Office, California, a
Notice of Public Hearing, a copy of which is attached hereto.
• That said mailing list has been provided by the Planning Department and lists the
owners of property who are entitled to Notice of Hearing.
• That on said day, there was a regular communication by Unites States mail
between Cupertino, California and the addresses shown on the attached mailing
list.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Cupertino will hold a hearing
on the matter described below. The public is encouraged to attend and speak.
APPLICATION NO(S): TM-2015-01, TR-2016-28 (EA-2015-04)
APPLICANT(S): Welkin International (Cai Xing Xie)
LOCATION: 10234 Scenic Blvd., APN No.(s) 357-08-014, -047
DESCRIPTION: Tentative Map application to allow the subdivision of 3 parcels (approximately
1.06 acres) into 5 parcels - 4 residential and 1 common (private street), Tree Removal Permit to
allow the removal and replacement of seven (7) protected trees and associated environmental
review.
At its regular meeting of the Cupertino Planning Commission on April 10, 2018, the Planning
Commission voted (3-0-2) (Sun and Fung voting no) to deny the applications per Resolution Nos.
6856, 6857 and 6859.
HEARING DATE: Tuesday, May 15, 2018 beginning at 6:45 p.m.

the City of Cupertino conduct a public hearing to consider Tentative Map application to allow the
subdivision of 3 parcels (approximately 1.06 acres) into 5 parcels - 4 residential and I common
(private street), Tree Removal Permit to allow the removal and replacement of seven (7) protected
trees and associated environmental review; Application No(s).: TM-2015-01, TR-2016-28 (EA-

No.(s) 357-08-014, -047. At its regular meeting of the Cupertino Planning Commission on April
