Ordinance 263ORDINANCE TIO. 262 - Never Adopted ~~~ ORDINANCE N0. 263 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CUPERTII~O RESTRICTING THE PARKING OF VEHICLES ON PROPERTY OWNED OR LEASED BY THE CITY, OTHER THAN CITY STREETS, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION TF~I;REOF. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: Purpose Section l: l: The parking lot situate in front of the City offices at 10321 South Highway g, Cupertino, California, is hereby deter- mined to be for city business only and subject to limited and restricted parking. SECTION 2: Definitions Section 2: 1: "Vehicle" as defined in this ordinance shall be the definition as set forth in the Vehicle Code of the State of California. SECTION 3: Regulations Section 3: 1: No person shall park any vehicle within the parking lot fronting the City Offices at 10321 South Highway 9, Cupertino, California, unless and so long as said person is engaged in city business. Section 3: 2: Persons other than city employees engaged in city business shall be limited to a parking time of one (1) hour. Section 3: 3: City employees engaged in the course and scope of their employment shall be excluded from the provisions of this ordin- ance. SECTION ~-: Enforcement Section 4:1: The City a certified copy of this ordinance Sheriff's Office of the County of Clerk is hereby instructed to file upon its becoming final with the Santa Clara . SECTION 5: Signs Section 5: 1: The provisions of this ordinance shall take effect upon signs being posted in plain view upon the property, containing the aforesaid restrictions. SECTION 6: Penalties Section 6: 1: Any person convicted of violation of this ordinance shall be subject to a fine of Two and 50100 (2.50) Dollars per violation. SECTION 7: Publication Section 7: 1: The City Clerk is hereby authorized and in- structed to cause a certified copy of this ordinance to be published at least once within fifteen (15 days after its enactment in the Cupertino Courier, the official newspaper of the City, published and circulated within the City of Cupertino.
