TI-~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF C'JPER'PINO DCES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section l: Amendment
Section 1:1: Section 1:1 of Ordinance No. 107(x) is hereby
deleted and in its place is enacted ttie following:
a. General Metered Service:. A.ppiicable in all metered
water service for domestic serv~..ce, commercial and industrial
service.
Rates:
Monthly Minimum Charge:
For 5/8 x 3/4 inch mete~~ $ 3.30
For 1 inch meter 5.76
For 1 1/2 inch meter 7.20
For 2 inch meter 11.52
For 3 inch meter 21.60
Each "Monthly Minimum Charge" will entitle the customer
to the quantity of water which that riinimum monthly charge
will purchase at the mor..~hly quantity rates set forth
below:
Quantity Rates:
First 500 cubic feet or less $ 3,30
Next 1,500 cubic feet per 100 cubic ft. .46
Next 3,000 cubic feet per 100 cubic ft. .~l
Next 5,000 cubic feet per 100 cubic ft. .36
Next 10,000 cubic feet per 100 cubic f't. .30
Over 20,000 cubic feet per 100 cubic ft. .25
Section 1:2: Section 2 of Ordinance 110. 107(a) is hereby
deleted.
Section 2: Severability Clause
Section 2:1: Should this ordinance be held inoperative as
an urgency ordinance, it shall thereupon take effect upon thirty
(30) days from its enactment as a non-urgency measure. Should
any other provision thereof be held unlat~.ful, the remaining
provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 3: Urgency Clause
Section 3: 1: 'l~his ordinance is enacted as an urgency measure
pursuant to Section 36937(b) of the Government Code of the State

of California. The facts con.stitu%ing such urgency are that the cost
of pumping water from the u?~.d~rground :i_n Santa Clara County is now
increased by the addition of a County pumping tax arld that th:I.s among
other increases in costs of operation of th~~ C:Lty systFm as brought
forth at duly noticed public hearings ?-~egttires the ramie increase in

Section ~: Publication Clause
Section 4:1: The Cyt~ ClerY be and hereby is authorized and
directed to cause a certified copy of this ordinance to be published
within fifteen (15) days after its enactment in the Cupertino Courier,
a newspaper of general circulation in the City.
