AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO AMENDING SECTION 1 OF
ORDANA NCE N0, 2 BY RECLASSIFYING A CERTAIN PORTION OF THE CITY OF
CUPERTINO FROM AN R-1:B-2 DISTRICT TO AN R-1 DISTRICT,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, on January lg, 1959, an application was filed by Kensal
Construction Company for tY~e rezoning of property from an R-l:B-2
District to an R-1 District; and
WHEREAS, upon due notice and after two public hearings the
Planning Commission recommended to the City Council that the re-
classification be granted; and
WHEREAS, the property to be rezoned is presently in an R-l:B-2
District; and
WHEREAS, a map of the subject property is attached hereto as
Exhibit "A" as a proposed amendment to the Master Zoning Map of the
City of Cupertino;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. That the following described property, be and hereby
is coned R-1 classification and that Exhibit "A" attached hereto is
made part of the Master Zoning Map of the City of Cupertino:
All that certain real property situate in the City of Cupertino,
County of Santa Clara, State of C~,lifc~r nia, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the ~Jesterly line of Blaney Avenue,
distant thereon North 7,71 chains from point of intersection of
the Westerly line of Blaney Avenue with the Northerly line
of Bollinger Road; thence North along said line of Blaney Avenue,
7.71 chains to the Southerly line of 25,00 acre tract conveyed
to F. E, D. Blumcke to F, M, Coleman, by Deed recorded April 20,
1g0 5 in Book 2g~+ of Deeds, page ~0, records of Santa Clara County,
California; thence North 69° ll-2' Nest 13.7975 chains to the
Northeast corner of 11 acre tract conveyed by J, C, Murphy to
Clarence A, Bates, by Deed recorded May 29, 1880 in Book 127 of
Deeds, Page 52, records of Santa Mara County, California; thence
South 0° 16' West 7,70 chains to the Northwest corner of 10 acre
tract conveyed by J, C, Murphy to Albert B, Lamson, by Deed recorded
on February 2~, 1893, in Book 157 of Deeds, page 120, Santa Clara
County Records; thence South 6g° ~~0' East 13,7975 chains to the
point of beginning, and containin;~ 10 acres, more or less, and
being a portion of the Northeast 111- of Section 2~-, Township 7
South, Range 2 West, M,D,B, & M.
Section II. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
thirty 30 days after its passag°, and before the expiration of
fifteen (15) days from and after :its passage, this Ordinance shall be
published once with the names of the members voting for or against the
same in the Cupertino Courier, a :newspaper published in said County
of Santa Clara.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Cupertino on the 2nd day of Ma:r~ch, 1959. Passed and adopted at a
regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Cupertino on the
16th day of March, 1959, by the following vote:
