Chapter 19.132 of the Cupertino Municipal Code allows for administrative approval of minor changes in a project. The Director reports his decision to the City Council and Planning Commission in time to allow an appeal of the decision within fourteen calendar days. DISCUSSION: The applicant, Philip Nettle of AAI Architecture and Interior Design, representing Cupertino Financial Partners LLC, is requesting approval for exterior facade improvements to three (3) elevator/stair towers at the Cupertino Financial Center office complex, located at 10050-10080 North Wolfe Road. The office complex was originally developed under 7-U-71, approved by the Planning Commission in 1971 (See Attachment 2). The elevator/stair towers are located within the office complex, facing the interior courtyard. The proposed improvements will not be visible from the public right of way. The proposed facade improvements to the elevator/stair towers are summarized as follows: • Repaint elevator/stair tower exterior. • Install decorative stainless steel screens around elevator entrances and on tower walls • Install translucent film and lights to the interior of the elevator/stair tower • Install anodized aluminum entrance doors • Instal114" satin stainless steel shelf above elevator entrance ACTION: The Director of Community Development deems the modification minor and approves the change as described in the plan set exhibit entitled: "Elevator/Stair Tower Exterior Alterations, 10050-10080 Wolfe Rd. Cupertino, CA" dated July 7, 2009. The approval is effective July 20, 2009. The fourteen calendar day appeal period expires on August 3, 2009.
