The unveiling will take place at 4 p.m. in the courtyard at the Cupertino Civic Center, 10300 Torre Avenue. “Cupertino’s Sister City Program has always been about mutual understanding and the exchanging of ideas,” Mayor Barry Chang said. “Both sides have knowledge and wisdom to impart to help each other through problems and create stronger communities. “These signs are a physical symbol of the already strong bond between Cupertino and our Sister Cities.” Councilmember Gilbert Wong said he is proud to live in such a diverse community that supports its four Sister Cities. “The three youth exchange programs the City has with Copertino, Toyokawa, and Hsinchu are a testament to Cupertino’s commitment to educational cultural exchanges,” Councilmember Wong said. “I’m honored to take part in the unveiling of the sign post, which recognizes our Sister City volunteers and promotes mutual trust and friendship.” Along with the unveiling, the event will also include a few words from Mayor Chang, Councilmember Wong, City Manager David Brandt, and representatives from all four Sister Cities.
