HomeMy WebLinkAboutASAC Reso 754HC -51,421.2 RESOLUTION NO. 754 OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO APPROVING A SIGN PROGRAM FOR A FINANCIAL OFFICE COMPLEX. PROPERTY OWNER: Pacific Valley Bank APPLICANT: Pacific Valley Bank ADDRESS: 1245 South Winchester Boulevard, San Jose, California 95128 LOCATION OF PROPERTY: Northeasterly Quadrant of North De Anza Boulevard and Stevens Creek Boulevard The Architectural and Site Approval Committee makes the following findings with respect to this application: 1. That the proposed cap structure design depicted on Exhibit F of this application shall not be counted as advertising area consistent with this Committee's interpretation of Section 2.09 of Ordinance 746. 2. Although the directional sign depicted on Exhibit F-1 of this application is uncharacteristically large for a directional device, unusual visibility problems exists for motorists west bound on Stevens Creek Boulevard attempting to locate the Bank's driveway entrance. Illumination for this structure shall be turned off at the close of Bank business hours. CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL: 1-8. Architectural and Site Approval Standard Conditions to the extent that they do not conflict with the special conditions enumerated herein. In the event a conflict does exist, the special conditions as enumerated herein shall apply. 9. That the recommendation of approval is based upon Exhibits F, F -1, F-2, F-3, F-4 and F-5 as dimensionally corrected to scales noted thereon, and except as may be modified by special conditions contained herein. 10. Precise location of ground sign depicted on Exhibit F of this application shall be subject to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Works at the building permit stage. 11. Exhibit F of this application shall be modified as follows: a. Overall height shall be reduced 16 ft. above adjoining sidewalk b. The proposed "Motor Bank" panel c. The proposed "Open" message sha lower tenant panel. d. Street address numbers shall be tenant panel. to a maximum of surface grade level. shall be eliminated. All on -site directional signs on the subject property shall be non - illuminated, except that sign depicted on Exhibit F-1 of this application which shall be illuminated only during normal Bank business hours. 14.
