HomeMy WebLinkAboutASAC Reso 736HC -51,296.41 RESOLUTION NO. 736 OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A SIGN PROGRAM FOR A SUPERMARKET AND SHOPPING COMPLEX. PROPERTY OWNER: Nor -Cal Associates APPLICANT: Nor -Cal Associates (The Koll Company) ADDRESS: 3000 Scott Boulevard, Suite 210, Santa Clara, California 95050 LOCATION OF PROPERTY: Southeast Quadrant of Bandley Drive and Alves Drive ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Architectural and Site Approval Committee makes the following findings with respect to this application: 1. That exception to Section 6.03.2 of Ordinance 746 permitting two building mounted identification signs for a single business is justified on the base of the following subconclusions. SUBCONCLUSIONS: (a) The subject development is set back a considerable distance from the major thoroughfares to which both proposed building mounted signs are oriented. (b) The Committee finds that the three criteria contained in Section 11.01 of Ordinance 746 apply to the Sign Exception request in the subject application. CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL: 1-8. Architectural and Site Approval Standard Conditions to the extent that they do not conflict with the special conditions enumerated herein. In the event a conflict does exist, the special conditions as enumerated herein shall apply. 9. The recommendation of approval is based on Exhibit F-3 except as may be amended by special conditions contained herein. 10. The linear wall length for individual tenant signs shall be that particular plane on which the sign is mounted, and shall not exceed 70% of the wall plane on which it is mounted.
