OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL COMMITTEE
OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO RECOMMENDING APPROVAL
OF SIGN PROGRAM FOR A FREE STANDING RESTAURANT
INCLUDING AN EXCEPTION TO SECTION 6.03.1 OF
ORDINANCE 746 TO PERMIT MORE THAN ONE BUILDING
MOUNTED IDENTIFICATION SIGN FOR A SINGLE BUSINESS.

The Architectural and Site Approval Committee makes the following findings with
respect to this application:
1. Pursuant to Section 11.01 of Ordinance 746, the Committee finds that
granting the above referenced Sign Ordinance exception is within the
purpose and intent of Ordinance 746 as stated in Sections 1.03.2,
criteria 1, 2, 3, 5 and Section 1.03.3, criteria a, b, c.
2. Advertising surface area of the wall sign approved for the north side
of the subject structure is in conformance with Section 6.03.2, Ordinance
746.
SUBCONCLUSIONS:
(a) Building frontage calculation for the north wall of the subject
structure includes the linear width of the decorative colonnade,
consistent with frontage definition contained in Section 2.06 of
Ordinance 746.
CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL:
1-8. Architectural and Site Approval Standard Conditions to the extent that they
do not conflict with the special conditions enumerated herein. In the
event a conflict does exist, the special conditions as enumerated herein
shall apply.
9. The recommendation of approval is based on Exhibits F and F-1 except as
may be amended by special conditions contained herein.
10. The existing pole sign identifying the subject structure shall be removed
in its entirety prior to, or concurrent with installation of signs approved
under this application.
11. The Architectural and Site Approval Committee or its staff shall retain
authority to review lighting intensity for signs approved under this
application in accordance with Section 7.01 of Ordinance 746.
