RESOLUTION NO. 721
OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL COMMITTEE
OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO RECOMMENDING APPROVAL
OF EXCEPTION TO SECTION 6.03.3 OF ORDINANCE 746
TO PERMIT CHANGE OF FACE ON AN EXISTING LEGAL
NON -CONFORMING GROUND SIGN FOR A HEALTH SPA.

The Architectural and Site Approval Committee makes the following findings with
respect to this application:
1. That the applicant has satisfied the necessary criteria contained
in Section 11.01 of Ordinance 746 to qualify for exception to the
above -referenced sign ordinance provision.
SUBCONCLUSIONS:
(a) That the proposed ground sign will eliminate practical difficulty
of location for potential customers.
(b) That the proposed sign will serve the public interest by reducing
a potential traffic safety hazard on Stevens Creek Boulevard.
Additionally, the extensive mature landscaping on the site is
an aesthetic enhancement to the community which can be retained
without adverse affects to the subject business through continued
usage of the existing ground sign.
CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL:
1-8. Architectural and Site Approval Standard Conditions to the extent that they
do not conflict with the special conditions enumerated herein. In the
event a conflict does exist, the special conditions as enumerated herein
shall apply.
9. That the recommendation of approval is based on Exhibits F, F -1, F-2 and
Exhibit A of this application except as may be amended by special conditions
contained herein.
1O. The Architectural and Site Approval Committee or its staff shall have the
authority to review intensity of illumination of the sign approved under
this application and may require reduction in illumination intensity per
Section 7.07.1, Ordinance 746.
11. A street address number shall be added to the ground sign face approved under
Exhibit F-2 of this application.
12. Colors for the approved sign face depicted on Exhibit F-2 shall be per
Exhibit A.

Architectural and Site Approval Committee of the City of Cupertino, State of
