RESOLUTION NO. 713
OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL COMMITTEE
OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF
LIGHTING FOR A COMMERCIAL RACQUET CLUB.

The Architectural and Site Approval Committee makes the following findings with
respect to this application:
1. That the applicants are aware of the Committee's concern that the
intensity and coverage pattern of the lighting approved in this
application shall not adversely impact surrounding residences or
traffic safety within adjacent public rights of way.
SUB CONCLUSION:
(a) Appropriate conditions of approval contained in this resolution
should empower the Director of Planning to take corrective action
in response to reported incidences of lighting intrusion.
CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL:
1-8. Architectural and Site Approval Standard Conditions to the extent that they
do not conflict with the special conditions enumerated herein. In the event
a conflict does exist, the special conditions as enumerated herein shall apply.
9. That the recommendation of approval is based on Exhibit E 1st Revision of this
application except as may be amended by special conditions contained herein.
10. The Architectural and Site Approval Committee shall have the option to
review intensity of on -site lighting approved under this application.
11. Upon receipt by the Director of Planning of complaints regarding light intrusion
from the racquet club into the adjacent residential development or into the
public right way, the applicant shall install shielding devices on lighting
fixtures or employ other reasonable means to correct the intrusion impacts
satisfactory to the Director of Planning.

PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of April, 1977, at the regular meeting of the
Architectural and Site Approval Committee of the City of Cupertino, State of
California, by the following roll call vote:
