OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL COMMITTEE
OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF
A WALL SIGN FOR A FREESTANDING RESTAURANT WITHIN
PHASE ONE OF VALLCO FASHION PARK.

Site Approval Committee makes the following findings with
cation:
1. The Committee recognizes that the individual letter "T.G.I. Friday's"
sign on the west elevation of the building is technically inconsistent
with Section 6.03.1 of Ordinance 746; however, in support of its
recommendation to approve said wall sign, the Committee offers the
following subconclusions:
SUBCONCLUSIONS:
(a) That the proposed restaurant is within a Planned Development District
thus permitting flexibility in strict application of sign ordinance
requirements as specified in the above -noted section of said
ordinance.
(b) That the proposed wall sign is obscured from public view as the
west elevation of the restaurant upon which it is located is
oriented away from any public thoroughfare.
(c) That the proposed wall sign imparts a sense of architectural balance.
to the entryway of the structure.
CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL:
1-8. Architectural and Site Approval Standard Conditions to the extent that they
do not conflict with the special conditions enumerated herein. In the event
a conflict does exist, the special conditions as enumerated herein shall apply.
9. That the recommendation of approval is based on the "T.G.I. Friday's" wall sign
shown on Exhibit B except as may be modified by special conditions contained
herein.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of April, 1977, at the regular meeting of the
Architectural and Site Approval Committee of the City of Cupertino, State of
California, by the following roll call vote:
