HomeMy WebLinkAboutASAC Reso 704HC -51,380.1 RESOLUTION NO. 704 OF THE ARCHITECTURAL Al SITE APPROVAL COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO RECOMMENDING MODIFICATION TO CONDITION NO. 16 OF ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL COMMITTEE RESOLUTION No. 607 PERMITTING RETENTION OF AN EXISTING CHAIN LINK FENCE ON THE SITE OF A COMMERCIAL BUILDING. PROPERTY OWNER: Eugene C. Lacey APPLICANT: Eugene C. Lacey ADDRESS: 20556 Scofield Drive, Cupertino, California 95014 LOCATION OF PROPERTY: Northwest corner of Scofield Drive and South De Anza Boulevard The Architectural and Site Approval Committee makes the following findings with respect to this application: 1. That retention of the existing chain link fence as modified by conditions contained in this resolution will enhia,ice the aesthetic relationship of the subject property to the surrounding neighborhood on Scofield Drive. SUBCONCLUSIONS: (a) The applicariLs intend to place redwood slats in the fence fabric thus limiting public view from Scofield Drive into the rear delivery areas of Crossroad Shopping Center. (b) The applicants will further enhance the appearance of the fence be agreeing to install ivy or trailing vines at its base. CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL: 1-8. Architectural and Site Approval Standard Conditions to the extent that they do not conflict with the special conditions enumerated herein. In the event a conflict does exist, the special conditions as enumerated herein shall apply. 9. That the recommendation of approval is based on Exhibit C 1st Revision as may be modified by special conditions contained herein. 10. Condition No. 16 of Architectural and Site Approval Committee Resolution No. 607 shall be modified as follows: The final two sentences reading as follows shall be deleted: "Additionally the chain link fence along the northerly property line shall be removed. In its place, the applicant shall install a concrete curb as well as two traffic warning disks which shall be located at the northerly terminus of the two parking aisles to warn motorists of the limitations of circulation onto the crossroad's site"". 11. The applicant shall install a specie of ivy or other trailing vine at the base of the existing fence, and also shall install redwood slats within the chain link fabric.
