RESOLUTION NO. 701
OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL COMMITTEE
OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF
TWO GROUND SIGNS AS PART OF AN OVERALL SIGN PROGRAM
FOR THE VALLCO VILLAGE SHOPPING CENTER.

LOCATION OF PROPERTY: Southwest corner of Wolfe Road and Homestead Road.

The Architectural and Site Approval Committee makes the following findings with
respect to this application:
1. That the two existing ground signs on the Wolfe Road frontage of Vallco
Village Shopping Center are legally installed through issuance of City
building permits.
2. That the proposed ground signs replacing the two above -mentioned existing
ground signs represents a reduction in advertising surface area over
existing conditions.
3. That the two signs recommended for approval are more attractive than the
two existing signs and will enhance the appearance of the shopping center
from public view on Wolfe Road.
4. That the proposed signs as presented are in scale with the developed area
of Vallco Village in that the Center has over 1,600 ft. of frontage on
Wolfe Road and that the proposed signs will be over 700 ft. apart.
5. That the readerboard portion of the sign labeled Exhibit F-2 has the
potential for usage as a public service message medium.
CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL.
1-8. Architectural and Site Approval Standard Conditions to the extent that they
do not conflict with the special conditions enumerated herein. In the event
a conflict does exist, the special conditions as enumerated herein shall
apply.
9. That this recommendation of approval is based on Exhibits F, F -1, and F-2
except as may be modified by special conditions contained herein.

PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10th day of March, 1977, at the regular meeting of the
Architectural and Site Approval Committee of the City of Cupertino, State of
California, by the following roll call vote:
