RESOLUTION NO. 689
OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL COMMITTEE
OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF
A WALL SIGN FOR A RETAIL FURNITURE OUTLET AS
DESCRIBED ON EXHIBITS E, F AND F-1.
PROPERTY OWNER: Portal Plaza Shopping Center
APPLICANT: Portal Plaza Shopping Center
ADDRESS: 19765 Stevens Creek Boulevard, Cupertino, California 95014
LOCATION OF PROPERTY: Northeast Corner of Stevens Creek Boulevard and Portal Avenue
The Architectural and Site Approval Committee makes the following findings with
respect to this application:
1. That the copy size, and advertising surface area of the sign as modified
by conditions of approval contained in this Resolution No. 689 are
consistent with the overall intent for signing in Cupertino as that
intent is understood and interpreted by this Committee.
SUBCONCLUSION:
(a) Signage area permitted under this Resolution No. 689 is
consistent with provisions of the draft Sign Ordinance
Section 6.03, and with the current City Sign Ordinance
No. 353 Section 7.021.
CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL:
1-7. Architectural and Site Approval Standard Conditions.
8. Signage approval granted under this Resolution No. 689 shall be for one
single face wall sign with 42 inch copy size located on the south fascia
of the subject business. No other signage approval is expressed or
implied in this Resolution No. 689.
9. Copy color for the approved wall sign shall be PMS 158 (Matte to Semi -Gloss
Finish) subject to staff approval.
10. Lighting for the approved wall sign shall be as per Exhibit E; lighting
fixtures shall be hidden from public view, and lighting intensity shall
be subject to staff review.

PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10th day of February, 1977, at the regular meeting
of the Architectural and Site Approval Committee of the City of Cupertino,
State of California, by the following roll call vote:
