FUNDING AVAILABILITY (NOFA)--.--_.---_ _ AND REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) The City of Cupertino will release a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) and Request for Proposal (RFP) for eligible Community Devel- opment Block Grant (CDBG) public service pro- grams and capital housing projects on Friday. December 18, 2015 for the upcoming fiscal year 2016/17. The City of Cupertino anticipates re- ceiving approximate)y S300,000 in CDBG enti- tlement funds from the United States Depart- ment of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The City intends to allocate unused CDBG funds from the prior fiscal year 2015/16 toward eligible capital housing projects forfis- cal year 2016/17. The City estimates allocating up to S45,000 for eligible CDBG public service programs and up to $195,000 for eligible capi- tal housing projects for FY 2016/17 on a com- pete basis. Grant funds will be made availa- ole toitiveligible and qualified organizations pro- viding assistance to low-income households within the City of Cupertino jurisdiction limits. CDBG allocations for the upcoming fiscal year 2016/17 may be adjusted due to an increase or decrease in the final federal budget approved by Congress. Eligible CDBG public service pro- grams are proposed to remain on a two year funding cycle for fiscal years 2016/17 and 2017/18. Eligible CDBG capital housing projects are proposed to remain on a single fiscal year funding cycle for fiscal year 2016/17. Organiza- tions who are interested in applying for CDBG funds for fiscal year 2016/17 must apply on- line at www.citydataservices.net.
