NOTICE: THE CITY OF CUPERTINO, a Municipal Corporation of the State of California ("City")
hereby gives notice that it will accept Bids for construction of the following public work:
CITY PROJECT NUMBER 201S-08 • WILSON PARK IMPROVEMENTS - 2015
1. BID SUBMISSION: The Cityy uses a two-part Bid process with Bids in Envelope "A" and State-
ments of Qualification and Flnancial information in Envelope "B". City will accept Envelope "A"
and Envelope "B" before 2:00 pan. on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 in the City Clerk's Office in
City Hall, 10300 Torre Avenue. City's representative will call out the designated time in the City
Clerk's office, stating that the period for accepting Bids is closed. Bids will be publicly read at
2:05 p.m. in the City Hall Lobby. The Bid opening will be in accordance with procedures set
forth in Document 00200 (Instructions to Bidders).

3. STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS: Each Bidder shall be required to submit a "Statement of
Qualifications" in accordance with Document 00200 (Instructions to Bidders) and Document
00450 (Statement of Qualifications for Construction Work).
4. DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK, Work includes building and landscape improvements at the
Recreation Building, ball safety screen and a new bleacher shade canopy at Wilson Park.
S. CONTRACT TIME: Work shall be finally completed by or before December 23, 2015.
6. Expected Expenditure, The City's expected expenditure is $250,000. (This price is expected,
not guaranteed.)
7. REQUIRED CONTRACTORS LICENSE: A California Class "A" General Engineering or "B"
General Building contractor's license is required to Bid this Contract. Joint ventures must se-
cure a joint venture license prior to award of this Contract. Removal, handling, and/or disposal
of hazardous materials may, by law, require hazardous substance removal certification by the
Contractor's State License Board.
8. Required Contractor and Subcontractor Registration
a. Owner shall accept Bids only from Bidders that (along with all Subcontractors listed in
Document 00430 (Subcontractor List) are currently registered and qualified to perform public
work pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5.
b. Subject to Labor Code Sections 1771.1(c) and (d), any Bid not complying with paragraph 1.01-a
above shall be returned and not considered: provided that if Bidder is a joint venture (Business
& Professions Code Section 7029.1) or if federal funds are involved in the Contract (Labor Code
Section 1771.1(a)), Owner may accept a non -complying Bid provided that Bidder and all listed
Subcontractors are registered at the time of Contract award.
9. PREVAILING WAGE LAWS: The successful Bidder must comply with all prevailing wage laws
applicable to the Project, and related requirements contained in the Contract Documents.
10. INSTRUCTIONS: Bidders shall refer to Document 00200 (Instructions to Bidders) for required
documents and items to be submitted in sealed envelopes to City Clerk's office, as well as ap-
plicable times for submission.
11. SUBSTITUTION OF SECURITIES: City will permit successful Bidder to substitute securities for
retention monies withheld to ensure performance of Contract, as set forth in Document 006BO
(Escrow Agreement for Security Deposits in Lieu of Retention), in accordance with Califomia
Public Contract Code, Section 22300. By this reference, Document 00680 (Escrow Agreement for
Security Deposits in Lieu of Retention) is incorporated in full in this Document 00100.
12. NON -MANDATORY PRE -BID CONFERENCE: City will conduct a Non -mandatory Pre -Bid Con-
ference at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at the job site, Wilson Park Recreation
Building, 19784 Wintergreen Dr., Cupertino, CA. Any Bidder wishing to investigate subsurface
conditions at the site must schedule such a visit with the City in accordance with Document
00200 (Instructions to Bidders).
13. PROCUREMENT OF BIDDING DOCUMENTS: Bidders may examine a complete hard -copy set
of bid documents at the City's Public Works Department, City Hall, 10300 Torre Avenue in
Cupertino.
To obtain a copy of the bid documents, Bidders must download a set of hid documents from the
City of Cupertino Web site at http �ww�cupertino.or mdex.aspx7gage_I19 or from a plan
room or trade journal site that ca'rnes them. The City will past all addendums to the project on
the City web site and tt is the Contractor's sole responsibility to download the addendums for
the project. If a Contractor wishes to be on the plan holders list far the project the Contractor
must send an a -mail to: capitalprOjects.@cupertlno.org containing the fallowing information:
Contractor s name, address, phone and fax numher, and e-mail address for future communica-
tions. The plan holders list will be updated daily. Bidder is responsible for printing all of the
bidding documents.
14. BID PREPARATION COST: Bidders are solely responsible for the cost of plan and specifica•
lion printing and preparing their Bids.
15. RESERVATION OF RIGHTS: city specifically reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject
any or al I Bids, or re -bid, or to waive inconsequential deviations from Bid requirements not in-
volving time, price, or quality of the Work.
16. PORTION OF WORK PERFORMED BY THE CONTRACTOR: The Contractor shal I perform no
less than 20% of the Work, excluding Specialty Items, with its own organization. Specialty
items will be identified on the Bid Form.

Housing For The Disabled. a nonprofit public
benefit corporation for fiscal year 2015-16.

DATED ANNUAL PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
REPORT (CAPER) IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
2014-15 Community Development Block Grant
(CDBG) Program Consolidated Annual Perform-
ance Evaluation Report (CAPER) will be availa-
ble for public review and comments from Au-
gust 31, 2015 - September 15, 2015. The CDBG
CAPER describes program accomplishments
for fiscal year 2014-15 with CDBG funds. The
CDBG CAPER is a one-year plan which de-
scribes eligible projects, programs and activi-
ties that were undertaken with CDBG funds re-
ceived during the 2014 program year (Fiscal
Year 2014-15) and their relationship to the pri-
ority housing, homeless and community devel-
opment needs of the City of Cupertino. Federal
