OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL COMMITTEE
OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO RECOMMENDING APPROVAL
OF SITE, ARCHITECTURE, LANDSCAPING, AND GRADING
FOR RENOVATION OF A HISTORICALLY SIGNIFICANT
SINGLE-FAMILY STRUCTURE TO COMMERCIAL OFFICE
USAGE..

LOCATION OF PROPERTY: Approximately 150 ft. easterly of the intersection of
Stevens Creek Boulevard and North De Anza Boulevard

FINDINGS:
The Architectural and Site Approval Committee finds as follows with respect to this
application:
1. That the proposed renovation :intends to preserve the historic
architectural integrity of the Baer House structure, consistent
with Condition 20 of Planning Commission No. 1767.
2. That the 24 inch Pine within the development parking lot, and
the two Palm trees on the south side of the site have been
documented as being in insufficient health to justify retention.
CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL:
1-8. Architectural and Site Approval Standard Conditions to the extent that they
do not conflict with the special conditions enumerated herein. In the
event a conflict does exist, the special conditions as enumerated herein
shall apply.
9. That the recommendation of approval is based upon Exhibits A, B, C, and D
of this application except as may be amended by special conditions contained
herein.
10. Exhibit C of this application shall be revised prior to issuance of building
permits to provide minimum 5 -gallon size shrubs in planting areas adjacent
to Stevens Creek Boulevard, and to provide a planter strip on the east
property line of the parking area subject to staff approval.
11. Prior to issuance of building permits for the subject development, the
applicant shall obtain Architectural and Site Approval Committee approval
of exterior lighting equipment and a sign program.
12. The north elevation of the building as depicted on Exhibit B of this application
shall be revised to include a brick -like surface treatment appearance to the
supporting walls of the wheelchair ramp.
13. It is the Committee's intent that replacement roofing material for the structure
be as closely compatible as possible to the original architectural concept of
the Baer House; accordingly, the applicant shall research alternative roofing
materials to achieve consistency with this intent, subject to satisfaction
of the staff at the building permit level.
