RESOLUTION NO. 772
OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL COMMITTEE
OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF
SITE AND ARCHITECTURE FOR PLACEMENT OF PORTABLE
TOILET FACILITIES AND PLAY YARD FENCING FOR
CONVERSION OF AN EXISTING INDUSTRIAL BUILDING
TO USE AS A MONTESSORI PRE-SCHOOL.
PROPERTY OWNER: Vallco Park, Ltd.
APPLICANT: Vallco Park, Ltd. (Montessori School)
ADDRESS: P.O. Drawer V, Cupertino, California 95014
LOCATION OF PROPERTY: Adjacent to and southerly of Pruneridge Avenue approximately
1,100 ft. easterly of Wolfe Road
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FINDINGS:
The Architectural and Site Approval Committee finds as follows with respect to this
application:
1. That the proposed portable facilities will have minimum visibility
from public streets adjoining the proposed pre-school site, and are
recognized as temporary in nature consistent with the use permit
approved for the pre-school itself.
2. That the Committee recommends approval of this development predicated
on assumption that the applicants will attempt a good faith effort to
relocate a specimen conifer tree which will be displaced by installation
of the western most portable facility.
CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL:
1-8. Architectural and Site Approval Standard Conditions to the extent that they
do not conflict with the special conditions enumerated herein. In the event
a conflict does exist, the special conditions as enumerated herein shall
apply.
9. That the recommendation of approval is based upon Exhibits A, B, and B-1
of this application except as may be amended by special conditions contained
herein.
10. The existing conifer specimen which is within the proposed location for the
western most facility shall be moved to an alternative location on the site
subject to staff approval.
11. Prior to issuance of permits to affect the subject improvements, the applicants
shall provide written documentation acceptable to staff detailing steps to be
taken to ensure maximum chance of survival for the relocated conifer referred
to in Condition 10 above, illustrating measures to be taken to protect on -site
landscaping which might be damaged during move -on of the portable facilities,
and delineating final shape of lawn area contours affected by installation
of the portable equipment.
