A N ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CUPEF.TINO AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDIN-
A NCE N0, 2 BY RECLASSIFYING A CEF.TA IN PORTION OF THE CITY O F
CUPERTINO TO AN M-1-H DISTRICT.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, on April g, 1957, an application was filed by Simla
Lands Ltd,, and Permamente Cement Company for the rezoning of
property to an M-1-H District; and
WHEREAS, upon due notice and after two public hearings the
Planning Commission recommended to the City Council that the
reclassification be granted; and
WHEREAS, a map of the subject property is attached hereto as
Exhibit "A" as a proposed amendment to the Master Zoning Map of the
City of Cupertino;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED A S FOLLOWS
Section 1, That the following described property be and hereby
is zoned to M-1-H classification and that Exhibit
"A" attached hereto is made part of the Master Zoning Map of the City
of Cupertino:
A 11 that certain real property situate in the City of Cupertino
County of Santa Clara, State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the northeasterly
boundary of the Peninsula Railroad (Southern Pacific Company)
right of way and the center line of Stevens Creek, said point
of beginning being also the northwesterly corner of Homestead
"3C Revised" Annexation to the City of Cupertino and approved
by the State of California November 1956; thence from said
point of beginning northeasterly and downstream along the
center line of Stevens Creek to its intersection with the center
line of Homestead also known as Young Road; thence westerly
along the center line and its westerly prolongation of Homestead
Road to its intersection with the northeasterly line of the
right of way of the Peninsula. Railroad (Southern Pacific
Company); thence southeasterly along the northeasterly line of
said railroad right of way to the point of beginning. All of
the area to be rezoned is within section 10, Township 7, South
Range 2 West, Mount Diablo B,a,se and Meridian.
Section II, This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
thirty (30) days after its passage, and before the
expiration of fifteen (15) days from and after its passage, this
Ordinance shall be published once with the names of the members voting
for or against the same in the Cupertino Courier, a newspaper published
in said County of Santa Clara.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Cupertino on the 5th day ~~f August, 1957. Passed and adopted
at a regular meeting of the City ~~ouncil of the City of Cupertino on
the 19th day of August, 1957, by she following vote:
