AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING DRUNKENNESS OF INTOXICATION IN ANY PUBLIC
PLACE OR ON ANY STREET, A LLEY, OR HIGHWAY IN THE CITY OF CUPERTINO
AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I It shall be unlawful for any person to be drunk or
intoxicated, or found drunk or intoxicated, in any public place, or
on any street, alley, or highway in the City of Cupertino.
SECTION 2 A violationcf' this ordinance shall be a misdemeanor, and
any person convicted of such viol~.tion shall l~ punished by a fine not
exceeding $100.00 or by imprisonment in the county fail of the County
of Santa Clara not exceeding thirty (30) days or both such fine and
imprisonment.
SECTION 3 This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30)
days after its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days
from and after its passage, this ordinance shall be published once with
the- names of the members voting for or against the same, in the
Cupertino Courier, a newspaper published in said County of Santa Clara.

7th day of January 1957, by the Bellowing vote:
