AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CUPE;RTINO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, CREAT-
ING PROCEDURAL RULES AND PROVIDING FOR ADOPTION OF NEW RULES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF' THE CITY OF CUPERTINO:
Section 1. ADOPTION OF RULES
The City Council may adopt from time to time such rules of
procedure as it may deem necessary to properly exercise its powers
and duties. Such rules shall become effective upon a majority
vote of the Council and shall be kept on file with the City Clerk
and a copy thereof shall be exhibited to any person upon request.
Section 2. ADOPTION OF ROBERTS RULES OF ORDER
In the absence of rules of procedure passed pursuant to
Section 1 of this Ordinance, the Council shall be governed by and
does hereby expressly adopt "Roberts Rules of Order--Revised" 75th
Anniversary Edition as published by Scott, Foreman and Company,
copyrighted 1951. The Council hereby incorporates the foregoing
rules and makes them part hereof as though fully set forth herein.
Section 3.
POSTING CLAUSE
Copy of this Ordinance shall be posted in at least three
(3) public places in the City of Cupertino within fifteen (15)
days after its passage as provided in Section 36933 of the Govern-
ment Code of the State of California.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of the City
of Cupertino on the 31st day of ~~ctober, 1955. Passed and adopted
at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Cupertino on
the 28th day of November, 1955, ~~y the following vote:
