HomeMy WebLinkAboutASAC Reso 1343ASAC 51,750.1 RESOUJTION NO. 1343 OF THE ARCIII'TECIURAL AND SITE APPROVAL C WI TEE OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO APPROVING AN EXCEPTION FROM A PREVIOUSLY ADOPTED SIGN PROGRAM FOR A OFFICE/RETAIL CENTER APPLICANT: Divan i Contemporary Furniture Mid Way Sign and Lighting/Mike Aguilera PROPERTY OWNER: WDV Properties APPLICANT'S ADDRESS: 40 Bassett Street San Jose, CA 95113 PROJECT LOCATION: 20343 Stevens Creek Boulevard The Architectural and Site Approval Committee finds as follows with regard to this application: 1. The use of the black trim cap will not be obtrusive and will not detract from overall appearance of the center. 2. The second wall sign does not meet the Sign Ordinance criteria for approval of a second wall sign. In addition, the second wall sign is not required for visibility to east -bound drivers. 3. The 24" high letters would be inconsistent with the overall signage concept for the center. Further, the applicant has not presented justification of the need for additional signage. CONDITIONS: 1-8) Standard Architectural and Site Approval Committee Conditions to the extent that they do not conflict with the special conditions listed herein. In the event of conflict, the specific conditions listed herein shall prevail. 9) The approval is based upon Exhibit F-4 Elevation 1 of Application 51,750.1 except as may be amended by Conditions enumerated herein. 10) The second, angled wall sign is not approved 11) An exception from the approved sign program colors is granted to utilize a black trim cap as shown on the approved exhibit. All other provisions of the sign program shall remain in effect.
