The City of Cupertino will consider proposed amendments to Title 19, Zoning, of the Cupertino Municipal Code, to allow the creation of Single -Story
Overlay Zones in single-family residential zoning districts. The proposed amendments outline the process to allow submittal of an application to
restrict the development of homes to a single story. In addition, the City Council may consider amendment of the fee schedule. (Application No.: MCA-
2017-02)
The City Council will consider these amendments on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 6:45 pm at 10350 Torre Avenue. The tentative date for a second
reading of the ordinance, should amendments be adopted, is May 2, 2017. Any interested person may attend the meetings and provide comments.
On March 14, 2017, the Planning Commission recommended (4-1 (Sun - no)) that the City Council find
that the proposed actions are exempt from CEQA (as there is no potential for this action to cause a SAVE THE DATE
significant effect on the environment (Section 15061(b) (3)) and adopt municipal code amendments per
Resolution No. 6825. City Council
