Dated: Dec mber 8, 2017 c Public Notice Advertising Clerk Legal No. 0006070741 CITY OF CUPERTINO NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ORDINANCE RELATED TO ACCESSORY DWELLING UNITS IN THE CITY OF CUPERTINO NOTICE 15 HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Califor- nia Government Code section 65090 et seq., that the Cupertino City Council will conduct a public hearing to consider an ordinance to amend developments regulations of accessory dwelling units contained in Title 19, Zoning, of the Cupertino Municipal Code. Hearing Date: December 19, 2017 Time: 6:45 p.m. Location: Council Chambers, Cupertino Community Hall 10350 Torre Avenue, Cupertino CA In response to the recently adopted changes in state law, specifically AB 494 (Bloom) and SB 229 (Wieckowskl), the City desires to amend Chapter 19.100, Accessory Dwelling Units, and related chapters in Title 19. These amend- ments are necessary to continue to implement the City's local ordinances and regulations pertaining to Accessory Dwelling Units in com- pliance with state law. The Cupertino Planning Commission reviewed the item on November 14, 2017 and recom- mended adoption of the proposed ordinance on a 4-0-1(Sun absent) vote. Environmental Recommendation: Categorical- ly Exempt. This action is categorically exempt as there is no potential it will cause a signifi- cant effect on the environment and/or any project would be exempt under relevant provi- sions of CEQA guidelines, Section 15061(b)(3) and 15354. Copies of applicable ordinances, council reports and environmental documents pertaining to the ordinance are available from the Office of the City Clerk and the Community Development Department, 10300 Torre Avenue, Cupertino, California, 95014. These records may also be accessed through the City of Cupertino's website at http://www.cupertino.o rg. Interested parties may attend the public hearing or submit written comments.
