years and I am not a party to or interested in the above entitled
matter. I am the Legal Advertising Clerk of the printer and
publisher of the Cupertino Courier, a newspaper published in the
English language in the City of Cupertino, County of Santa Clara
State of California.
I declare that the Cupertino Courier is a newspaper of general
circulation as defined by the laws of the State of California as
determined by court decree dated November 13, 1956, Case
Number 100637. Said decree states that the Cupertino Courier is

EXTENSION OF URGENCY ORDINANCE
IMPOSING A TEMPORARY MORATORIUM ON
NON -MEDICAL MARIJUANA COMMERCIAL
ACTIVITIES IN THE CITY OF CUPERTINO
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Califor-
nia Government Code section 65090 et seq.,
that the Cupertino City Council will conduct a
public hearing to consider an urgency ordi-
nance extending a temporary moratorium on
certain non -medical marijuana commercial ac.
tivities for one year.

On October 18, 2016. the City Council adopted
Urgency Ordinance No. 16.2153 to impose a
moratorium on certain non -medical marijuana
commercial activities, consistent with state
law. On November 15, 2016, the Council extend-
ed the moratorium for 10 months and 15 days,
through September 30, 2017, pursuant to Ordi-
nance No. 16-2160.
The proposed ordinance will extend the City's
interim moratorium and current prohibitions
on non -medical marijuana dispensaries, Mark
�uana cultivation facilities, commercial canna-
is activities, and marijuana transport and de-
liveries for one additional year. The moratori-
um extension is necessarryy for the Protection

and regulations. Further, the extension will al-
low the City to complete its review of the pub-
lic safety Impacts of non -medical marijuana
activities and associated businesses, to evalu-
ate changes in state regulatory schemes and
requirements, and to determine possible up-
dates to the zoning code and municipal code.

empt as there is no potential it will cause a
significant effect on the environment and/or
any project would be exempt under relevant
provlslons of CEQA guidelines, Section
15061(b)(3) and 15354.
