HomeMy WebLinkAboutASAC Reso 670HC -51,392.1 RESOLUTION NO. 670 OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF LANDSCAPING DESIGN FOR THE EAST SIDE OF THE NORTH DE ANZA BOULEVARD PARKWAY AREA AS SHOWN ON EXHIBITS C, C-i, C-2, C-3, C-4, C-5, C-6, C-7, INFORMATIONAL -1, INFORMATIONAL -2 AND INFORMATIONAL -3. PROPERTY OWNER: APPLICANT: ADDRESS: LOCATION OF PROPERTY: CONDITIONS: Sobrato-Berg Sobrato-Berg 2775 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto, California 94306 Easterly of and adjacent to North De Anza Boulevard and extending southerly from the intersection of North De Anza Boulevard and Route 280 for a distance of approximately 2,500 ft. 1-7. Architectural and Site Approval Standard Conditions. 8. Selection and location of tree species to be installed within the parkway area shall conform to recommendations of James Coleman and Associates as stated in their letter to City staff dated November 15, 1976. 9. "Container size" of redwood and alder species in the parkway shall be mixed at a ratio of two-thirds at fifteen g. c. to one-third at five g. c. at time of installation. 10. Surface finish for sidewalks on the east side of the De Anza Boulevard parkway area shall be as shown on Exhibit Informational -3. 11. Installation of lawn area on the east side of the North De Anza Boulevard parkway area shall utilize a uniform seed mixture or sod type to ensure coordination of color, texture and growth habit. 12. Installation on the east side of North De Anza Boulevard parkway area of irrigation system components shall be standardized as to manufacturer and type so as to minimize maintenance cost by simplifying spare part inventory and repair procedures. FURTHER FINDING: The Architectural and Site Approval Committee recommends that procedures for the construction of the North De Anza Boulevard parkway area include field inspection by a landscape architect of all plantings prior to their acceptance and installation.
