HomeMy WebLinkAboutASAC Reso 657HC -51,392.1 RESOLUTION NO. 657 OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF SITE, ARCHITECTURE, GRADING AND LIGHTING FOR AN INDUSTRIAL/OFFICE COMPLEX AS SHOWN ON EXHIBIT A 1st REVISION, A-1, B, B -1, E and INFORMATION -1. PROPERTY OWNER: Sobrato-Berg APPLICANT: Sobrato-Berg ADDRESS: 2775 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto, California LOCATION OF PROPERTY: Easterly and adjacent to North De Anza Boulevard and extending southerly from the intersection of North De Anza Boulevard and Route 280 for a distance of approximately 2,500 ft. CONDITIONS: 1-7. Architectural and Site Approval Standard Conditions. 8. Consideration of bicycle storage facilities on this site shall be continued to September 23, 1976. 9. Design and location of a covered bus shelter and bus turn -out on De Anza Boulevard shall be continued to September 23, 1976. 10. The planter strip on the east property line of the project shall be 4 ft. in width. The location and plantings in this area to be decided at a future public hearing. 11. Pedestrian walkway alignment on De Anza Boulevard shall be as per Department of Public Works suggestion as outlined on Exhibit Informational - 1. 12. Tank farm facilities shall be located as per Exhibit A 1st Revision and Exhibit A-1. A report on the location laws governing tank farms and storage of chemical substances as in the present case shall be included in the referral of this application to City Council. 13. The sound wall on the east property line of the project adjacent to the single- family homes on the west side of Larry Way shall be constructed of precast concrete with alternating brush-slumpstone finish panels. 14. The sound wall to be constructed on the east property line of the project shall be a minimum of 8 ft. in height as measured on the residential side of the wall and a minimum 6 ft. in height as measured on the industrial side of the wall. Upon a consensus of the majority of the residents on the west side of Larry Way, the sound wall can be built to a height of 9 ft. as measured on the residential side of the wall. 15. The staff shall prepare and present to this Committee a report detailing the ambient sound level as measured by the project acoustical consultant at a point within a rear yard of the residential development on the west side of Larry Way. -1- HC -51,392.1 RESOLUTION NO. 657 (continued) 16. The, landscaping portion of this application shall be considered in detail at the September 23, 1976 hearing. 17. Earth mounding on De Anza Boulevard within the 50 ft. landscaped setback shall be a maximum of 4 ft. 18. Installation of lighting fixtures within the parking areas of this project shall be subject to staff inspection upon receipt by staff of complaints of lighting intrusion into off -site areas. 19. The westerly extension of the sound wall along Mariani Avenue shall be subject to staff review of the applicant's fulfillment of recommendations based on technical information to be reported by the project acoustical consultant.
