OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL COMMITTEE
OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF
LANDSCAPING FOR A REDWOOD GROVE LOCATED AT THE
NORTHEAST QUADRANT OF PACIFICA AVENUE AND TORRE
AVENUE (CUPERTINO CIVIC CENTER) AS INDICATED ON
EXHIBITS C, C -1, and C-2 SHEET 1 OF 3.

CONDITION:
1-7. Architectural and Site Approval Standard Conditions.
In addition, the Committee offers the following recommendations:
1. That all seating structures placed in or about the grove should
be of a design includi:ig a back rest.
2. All footings and other mounting materials for furniture and
facilities incidential to the grove should be of a minimum size
necessary to ensure proper mounting without unduly impacting
the natural appearance of the grove.
3. That the proposed walkway delineated on the site plan be constructed
of a used brick material similar to that existing in the Civic Center
Plaza.
4. That the proposed cherry trees be of a minimum 5 -gallon size container
variety.
5. That a licensed landscape architect shall certify the health of the
trees to be planted prior to their installation.
6. That consideration should be given to locating benches or other
furniture within as well as around the periphery of the grove
at a future time. Also, all future additions to the grove should
be reviewed by staff for conformance to this approved design concept.
7. The staff shall review all signing proposed in conjunction with this
project, with the option to return any such proposal to Committee
for further consideration.

of the Architectural and Site Approval Committee of the City of Cupertino, State
of California, by the following roll call vote:
