HomeMy WebLinkAboutASAC Reso 596HC -51,218.2 RESOLUTION NO. 596 OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF EXCEPTION OF SECTION 6.041 OF THE SIGN ORDINANCE TO ALLOW A GROUND SIGN ON A PARCEL WHICH DOES NOT MEET THE REQUIRED FRONTAGE OR SETBACK REQUIREMENTS FOR SAID GROUND SIGN FOR AN EXISTING RESTAURANT AS INDICATED ON EXHIBIT F 1ST REVISION. PROPERTY OWNER: Whitevale Company, Inc. (A & W) APPLICANT: Whitevale Company, Inc. (A & W) ADDRESS: 180 Constitution Drive #3, Menlo Park, California 94025 LOCATION OF PROPERTY: Northwest corner of Stevens Creek Boulevard and Portal Avenue ZONE: CG (General Commercial) CONDITIONS: 1-7. Architectural and Site Approval Standard Conditions. 8. That this approval is for the sign exception allowing for the proposed ground sign installation. The sign exception is granted under Section 10.4 of Sign Ordinance 353, part (a) in that special conditions and extraordinary circumstances applicable to the property involved or its intended uses, which were not created by the owner or his tenant therefore justifies this action. 9. That the landscaping portion of this application is to be continued. 10. That the applicant is to post a landscaping and site improvement bond with the City to ensure adequate provision for modifications to the site 11. The final positioning of the sign on the site will be determined pending -safety-and site modification evaluation by the staff.
