RESOIIJTION NO. 6972
A RESOIIJTION OF THE CITY' <XJONCIL OF THE CITY' OF CUPERI'INO
ORDERING VACATION OF A roR1'ION OF THE SOOTH SIDE OF STEVENS
CREEK OOUIEVARD EAST OF CARMEN ROAD AS PROVIDED IN SECl'ION 8320
ET SEQ. OF THE ~.L=.L-::; AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE
STATE OF CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, hearing on Resolution of Intention No. 6637 was held on
September 15, 1986 at a regular meeting of the City COuncil at 10300 Torre
Avenue, CUpertino, California;
WHEREAS, it appears that notice thereof was duly given as required by
law; and
WHEREAS from the evidence presented, both oral and doclnnentary, it
appears to be to the best interest of the City to vacate the hereinafter
described portion of the City street; and that said portion of said City
street is unnecessary for present or prospective public street purposes;
and
WHEREAS, existing streets are adequate to handle present and future
projected traffic; and
WHEREAS, vacation is in confonnance with the City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, abandoned street right-of-way nonnally reverts to the
adjacent property owners.
NCM, 'IHEREl:'UKE:, BE: rr RESOLVED:
1. That all or any protests against the vacation of said portion of
City street be and hereby are overruled and denied;
2. That said portion of Stevens Creek Boulevard described and shown
in Exhibits "A" and "B" attached hereto and made part hereof, be and
hereby is vacated.
3. That the Mayor and the city Clerk are authorized to execute a
quitclaim deed to Edwin A. Federspiel, Jr., subsequent to recordation of
the abandonment.

That the City Clerk be hereby is instructed and directed to cause a
certified a:spy of this resolution, attested to and sealed with the
official seal of the city, to be recorded with the County :Recorder of the
County of santa Clara, California, forthwith.

Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 87 as shown on that certain
map entitled "Map of Inspiration Point Monta Vista", recorded in Book
P of Maps, at Page 18, Santa Clara County Records;
Thence N 00 06'56" W, 24.00 feet along the easterly boundary of said
Lot 87;
Thence S 620 23'26" W, 51.99 feet to a point on the southerly boundary
of said Lot 87;
Thence N 870 52'54" E, 46.12 feet along said southerly boundary to the
Point of Beginnning,
Containing: 553 Square feet more or less or
0.013 acres more or less
