Members of the public are entitled to address the Commission concerning any item within the
Commission's subject matter jurisdiction. Public comments are limited to no more than three
minutes. Except for certain specific exceptions, the Commission is prohibited from discussing
ortaking action on any item not appearing on the posted agenda. Statements that require a
response may be placed on the agenda for the next regular meeting of the Commission.

3. Approve consent calendar
REGULAR AGENDA - ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION
4. *Accept an overview of the Chair's proposed objective to provide enhanced Recycling
and Waste Reduction Commission policy direction to its Technical Advisory Committee
and consider establishing a Workshop dedicated to this objective in May 2026 (15
minutes)
5. Receive an overview of solid waste collection systems operating in Santa Clara County
from the Cities of Milpitas, San Jose, and Cupertino (25 minutes)
6. *Accept an overview of the Recycling and Waste Reduction Commission's Legislative
Priorities and consider approval of the 2026 Legislative Priorities recommended by the
Technical Advisory Committee (15 minutes)
7. *Accept an update from staff on the status of the Recycling and Waste Reduction
Commission and jurisdictions partnering with established youth commissions to further
the Commission's workplan and mission and consider approval of the initiative's scope
of work (15 minutes)
8. Future agenda items
Note: In accordance with Government Code Section 54954.2(a), there shall be no discussion,
debate and/or action taken on any request other than providing direction to staff to place the
matter of business on a future agenda.
