CC Resolution No. 7025 RESOIIJ'I'ION NO. 7025 A RESOIIJ'I'ION OF '!HE CITY CXXJNCIL OF '!HE CITY OF aJPERl'INO ESTABLISHrnG PROCEIXJRE FOR rosTING OF lIGENJ:)AS AND OIHER MATl'ERS REIATING 'ro '!HE ~ ACr WHEREAS, AB 267 amems the Ralph M. Brown Act (open meeting law) of the state of Califomia; and WHEREAS, these amen:hnents require local agencies to post an agenda prior to each meeting of the legislative body (including certain adviso~ bodies), requires local agencies to provide an vwvrtunity for the p.mlic to address the legislative body, generally prohibits the legislative body from acting on items not appearing on the posted agenda, and authorizes bringing suit to void certain actions taken in violation sf the Brown Act; NCM, ~U!Œ, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of CUpertino that effective JanuaJ:y 1, 1987 all agendas of the City Council and other bodies govemed by the Ralph M. Brown Act shall provide copies of their meeting agenda to the City Clerk who shall have each agenda posted in the CUpertino Library, 10400 Torre Avenue, CUpertino, California. Record of each posting shall be kept in a file in the City Clerk I s office and shall be available for p.mlic review. BE IT FURlliER RESOLVED that the following schedule of posting applies: Friday prior to the meeting: City Council, Planning Ccmmission, Library Ccmmission, Cable Television Adviso~ Ccmmittee, Energy Ccmmission, Enviromnenta1 Review Ccmmittee and Architectural and site Approval Ccmmittee. Morx3ay prior to the meeting: Public Safety Ccmmission. Notice of location of agenda posting shall be posted outside City Hall. Parks and Recreation Ccmmission and BE IT FURlliER RESOLVED that each agenda shall have, near the beginning, a place for members of the p.mlic to address the council, conunission or conunittee regarding matters within its jurisdiction. RESOIIJ'I'ION NO. 7025 BE IT FURIHER RESOLVED that if an item arose after posting of an agenda or an emergency exists, the minutes of that meeting shall reflect what the need for action was and why the need arose after the agenda posting, or why an emergency exists.
