CC Resolution No. 7035 \ RESOIIJ'I'ION NO. 7035 A RESOIIJ'I'ION OF THE CITY CXXJNCIL OF '!HE CITY OF OJt'~'.l.ÑO APPROVING THE APPLICANT FOR GRANT FUNÅ“ UNDER THE cx:HIDNITY PARKr.ANDS Acr OF 1986 FOR THE FOL'LCmNG PROJECI'S: HOOVER PARK DEVEIDFMENT - $30,000 GRANT AmJNT JOILYMAN PARK RENOVATION - $74,000 GRANT AmJNT WHEREAS, the people of the state of California have enacted the Conununity Parklands Act of 1986, which provides funds to the state of California and its political subdivisions for acquiring and developing facilities for public recreational and historical purposes; and WHEREAS, the state Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated the responsibility for the administration of the p:t:og:t:àJ!I within the state, setting up necesSMY procedures governing application by local agencies under the prog1.cuu; and WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Department of Parks and Recreation require the applicant to certify by resolution the approval of applications before submission of said applications to the state; and WHEREAS, said applications contain assurances that the applicant must comply with; and WHEREAS, the applicant agency will enter into an agreement with the state of California for acquisition, development, rehabilitation or restoration of the projects; NCM, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council hereby; 1. Approved the filing of an application for Conununity Parklands Act of 1986 state grant assistance for the above projects; and 2. Certify that said agency understands the assurances and certification in the application form; and 3. Certify that said agency has or will have sufficient funds to operate and maintain the projects; and 4. Certify that said agency will complete the projects within three years from date of approval by the state; and RESOIIJ'I'ION NO. 7035 5. Appoint the City Manager as agent of the city of CUpertino to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all documents including but not limited to applications, agreements, amendments, payment requests, and so on, which may be necessazy for the COII'pletion of the aforementioned projects .
