CC Resolution No. 7039 RESOIIJ'I'ION NO. 7039 A RESOIIJ'I'ION OF '!HE CITY CXXJNCIL OF THE CITY OF aJPERl'INO ALIDC'ATING $65,000 OF THE SENIOR CITIZEN HOOSING FUND 'IO AIXJIJI'S ':æMARœ INDEPENDENT LIVING FOR '!HE EXPANSION AND REM)DEL OF AN EXISTING RESIDENCE IDCATED I>œ 19147 ANNE IANE WHEREAS, the Senior Citizen Housing Fun:l was created with Community Development Block Grant Monies; and WHEREAS, the pw:pose of the furxi is to support housing projects for low and moderate income senior citizens and han:licapped individuals; and WHEREAS, the subject project was originally reviewed by the City Council in conjunction with allocation hearings for the 'IWelfth Year Community Development Block Grant Pro.,¡I.am and the applicant was directed to approach the Council again at a later date; and WHEREAS, the subject project will ilt1prove the livability of the house for the existing seven disabled residents. NCM, 'I'HEl<J!;J:'uRE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of CUpertino hereby allocates $65,000 of the Senior Citizen Housing Fun:l to Adults Towards In:lependent Living to expan:l and re100del an existing residence for disabled persons, based on the following corxiitions: 1. '!he re1OOdeljexpansion shall be consistent with the plans reviewed by the City Council on December 9, 1986. Minor modifications to those plans may be peDn.itted, subject to the approval of the Planning Director. 2. CUpertino residents and the :iJmnediate relatives of CUpertino residents shall receive first priority for obtaining a roam, to the maximum extent feas:ilile. 3. $60,000 is available as a zero interest, 15 year deferred loan. The loan shall be renegotiated in 15 years and a repayment schedule established, based on the beneficiaIY's ability to repay the loan. The loan shall be repayed :iJmnediately upon sale of the house. $5,000 is available as a grant. RESOIlJTION NO. 7039 4. City loans on the project, including the prior $10,000 loan, shall be in secorxi position, subordinate to the mortgage and senior to the state loan. 5. '!he $200 surplus fran the prior $10,000 loan may be used to pay County plan check fees, provided Adults Towards Independent Living first demonstrates that the County will not waive these fees. BE IT FURI'HER RESOLVED, that the City Manager or his representative is hereby authorized to submit a request to the County of Santa Clara to administer the aspects of the loan pertaining to Community Development Block Grant regulations.
