Subject: Library Box Car Unit needs the Supply Fan VFD Replaced.
Dear Mr. Vasquez,
Thermal Mechanical submitted a proposal that addresses the Service Needs on the Roof Top Trane Box Car
Unit. When our original proposal was offered to the City, there was (2) VFDs that needed to be replaced. One
was on a Supply Fan Motor, #2, and the other was operating the Return Air Fan.
Our Team is presently on site completing the repairs outlined in our proposal. Since the original operational
evaluation and the authorized repairs being installed, the second supply fan motor VFD #1 has failed and will
need to be replaced. As with the earlier proposal, the original Danfoss Drives are No longer available so we
offered ABB Drives with our earlier approved proposal, and that is what we offer with the latest VFD failure.
For a Project Price of $15,637.06 we will remove and replace the last drive in the Trane Unit, updating it with an
ABB Drive. Once installed and in operation we will have a Factory Rep complete the final steps of the ABB
Drive set up.
The delivery of this last drive is expected to be within 2 to 5 weeks. The unit is presently in operation with the
other (2) drives installed and operational but at a reduced capacity. We will hold this unit pricing for a period of
(2) weeks from the date of this proposal. All pricing at the moment is a moving target. Should you have any
