To Library Commission,
Since I am travelling on 4th Feb, It is highly unlikely that I will be able to login externally to the
meeting since I will be in plane that time, But wanted to express my willingness to Put my
name forward for the position of Chair.
Pitch for the Library commission Chair position:
Dear Fellow Commissioners, Library is not just a great place to come and read the books but is
a hub for learning, creativity, and connections. As Chair of the Library Commission, my goal will
be to protect the trust of community on the library, actively expand Library's impact in the
community. I would bring leadership that is collaborative, decisive and more action oriented.
Three things that I will focus on are:
-Exploring and expanding means of access and engagement of community in the activities of
library to strengthen the community bond.
-strengthening partnerships with schools, local organizations and community to get more
engagement through various programs.
-Helping staff to maintain the stability, growth and creativity among the community to make the
library heart of the community,
I am ready to bring my energy, vision and leadership to help us grow. It would be my honor to
serve as Chair and help shape the goals of our Library system.
