HomeMy WebLinkAboutASAC Reso 1048HC -51,015.21 RESOLUTION NO. 1048 OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AN EXCEPTION TO SECTION 6.03.1 OF SIGN ORDINANCE NO. 746 TO ALLOW TENANTS OF THE CROSSROADS CENTER WEST OF SERVICE MERCHANDISING TWO BUILDING -MOUNTED SIGNS EACH, CONSISTING OF A FASCIA SIGN AND AN UNDER -CANOPY SIGN. PROPERTY OWNER: Byer Properties APPLICANT: Gene Barbour/Ad-Art Electrical Products Corporation ADDRESS: 1607 Terminal Avenue, San Jose, CA 95112 LOCATION OF PROPERTY: South side of Stevens Creek Boulevard approximately 600 ft. west of De Anza Boulevard (Mervyn's half of Crossroads Center). -------------------------------------------------------------------------- FINDINGS: The Architectural and Site Approval Committee finds as follows with respect to this application: 1. The exception is consistent with the intent of the Sign Ordinance to allow only one building -mounted sign per tenant because the under -canopy sign will not be visible from the public right-of-way. The visual effect from the street will be that each tenant has only one sign. CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL: 1-7. Architectural and Site Approval Standard Conditions to the extent that they do not conflict with the special conditions enumerated herein. In the event a conflict does exist, the special conditions as enumerated herein shall apply. 8. The recommendation of approval is based upon Exhibits A-1, A-2, B-1 and letter from Eugene Barbour dated March 31, 1983 of this application except as may be amended by special conditions contained herein. 9.
