RESOLUTION NO. 998
OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL COMMITTEE
RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A SIGN PROGRAM AND AN
EXCEPTION TO SECTION 6.03.1 OF SIGN ORDINANCE
NO. 746 TO ALLOW TWO SIGNS PER BUSINESS.
PROPERTY OWNER: Dean Frisbie
APPLICANT: H & R Block, Incorporated
ADDRESS: 4984 Stevens Creek Boulevard, San Jose, California 95129
LOCATION OF PROPERTY: 20021 Stevens Creek Boulevard, Cupertino, California 95014
FINDINGS:
The Architectural and Site Approval Committee finds as follows with respect to
this application.
1. The Sign Program is consistent with all provisions of Sign Ordinance No. 746
except Section 6.03.1.
2. The requested exception is justified due to the lack of a good location for a sign
on the building's Stevens Creek Boulevard frontage and due to the obstruction of
the front of the building by a mature tree.
CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL:
1-7. Architectural and Site Approval Standard Conditions to the extent that they
do not conflict with the special conditions enumerated herein. In the event
a conflict does exist, the special conditions as enumerated herein shall apply.
8. The recommendation of approval is based upon Exhibits F 1st Revision and
F-1 of Application HC -51,564.0 except as may be amended by special conditions
contained herein.
9. If necessary, the signs shall be reduced in width to fit within the first
panel on each side of the building.
10. Colors shown on Exhibit F 1st Revision shall take precedence over colors
described in Exhibit F -l.
11. The eaves of the applicant's building shall be painted.
