HomeMy WebLinkAboutASAC Reso 0989HC -51,259.811 RESOLUTION NO. 989 OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO, RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AN EXCEPTION TO SECTION 10.03 OF SIGN ORDINANCE 746 TO ALLOW AN ADDITIONAL GROUND SIGN ON A SITE THAT HAS AN EXISTING NON -CONFORMING GROUND SIGN. PROPERTY OWNER: California Canadian Bank (George Yamaoka) APPLICANT: Electrical Products ADDRESS: P. O. Box 23444, Oakland, California 94623 LOCATION OF PROPERTY: Northeast corner of Stevens Creek Boulevard and Portal Avenue FINDINGS: The property owner is unwilling to modify the existing ground sign. The applicant's proposal is justified because existing wall signs are obsured by the growth of mature trees. The applicant needs a ground sign to ensure adequate identification of the bank. CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL: 1-7. Architectural and Site Approval Standard Conditions to the extent that they do not conflict with the special conditions enumerated herein. In the event a conflict does exist, the special conditions as enuemrated herein shall apply. 8. The recommendation of approval is based upon Exhibit F of Application HC -51, 259.811 except as may be amended by special conditions contained herein. 9. The Architectural and Site Approval Committee or its staff shall retain the authority to review and require correction of off -site light intensity impacts for any sign approved under this application.
