HomeMy WebLinkAboutASAC Reso 0982HC -51,270.2 RESOLUTION NO. 982 OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL COMMITTEE RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF ARCHITECTURAL AND LANDSCAPING MODIFICATIONS FOR AN EXISTING SERVICE STATION. PROPERTY OWNER: Shell Oil Company APPLICANT: Shell Oil Company ADDRESS: 1150 Bayhill Drive, Suite 200, San Bruno, California 94066 LOCATION OF PROPERTY: Northeast corner of Stevens Creek Boulevard and Stelling Road. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FINDING: The Architectural and Site Approval Committee finds as follows with respect to this application: 1. That the proposed modifications are considered marginal and temporary in nature. Major site, architecture, landscaping, signing and lighting improvements shall ultimately be required as a condition of approval of the subject application. CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL: 1-7. Architectural and Site Approval Standard Conditions to the extent that they do not conflict with the special conditions enumerated herein. In the event a conflict does exist, the special conditions as enumerated herein shall apply. 8. The recommendation of approval is based upon ExhibitsA and B of this application except as may be amended by special conditions contained herein. 9. The subject modifications are approved for a temporary period of one year after issuance of a building permit. After that time, the applicants shall be required to provide major improvements to the site, architecture, landscaping, lighting and signing of the subject property. Said improvements shall include closure of driveway(s) perimeter landscaping, and a Spanish -motif building design. 10. The proposed red building stripes are not permitted. 11. The wood elements shall be painted dark brown. 12. One "self -serve" sign shall be permitted on the building. 13. The applicant shall record a covenant agreeing to provide a reciprocal access agreement with the adjoining property owner, at such time as the City can require the same of said property owner. - 1 - RESOLUTION NO. 982 (Continued) HC -51,270.2 14. If vehicle stacking becomes a problem at any time, the Architectural and Site Approval Committee reserves the right to hold a hearing to consider the revocation of this self -serve permit, or to require mitigating site design solutions. 15. The trash bin shall be enclosed in wood materials that reflect the building's proposed modifications (dark brown, board -on -board). 16. The existing tower projecting above the roofline shall be removed.
