OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE
APPROVAL COMMITTEE DENYING A REQUEST
TO MODIFY AN EXISTING GROUND SIGN.

LOCATION OF PROPERTY: Westerly of and adjacent to De Anza Blvd. approximately
150 ft. northerly of the intersection of Valley Green
Drive and De Anza Boulevard.

FINDINGS:
The Architectural and Site Approval Committee finds as follows with respect to
this application:
1. Other mass media forms can achieve the desired advertising result (increased
patronage for the restaurant).
2. The proposed readerboard differs from others now in the City, for the
following reasons:
a. The design of the approved panels is more substantial than the proposed
plastic -faced readerboard. The architectural integrity and 'aesthetic
qualities of the Rong Shing sign would be impaired by the proposed addition.
b. Public service messages would not be an integral part of the Rong Shing
proposal.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of January, 1981, at the regular meeting of the
Architectural and Site Approval Committee of the City of Cupertino, State of
California, by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Committee Members: Nobel, Rooker and Chairman Morrison
